Heart Health Parameters
Systolic and diastolic blood pressure
The amount of pressure in the arteries during contraction of the heart is known as the systolic blood pressure. The diastolic blood pressure is the amount of pressure in the arteries during retraction of the heart.
Mean arterial pressure
The mean pressure in the arteries during a single cardiac cycle.
Pulse rate and pulse pressure
The numeric difference between the systolic blood pressure and diastolic blood pressure is called the pulse pressure. The pulse rate is the number of heart beats per minute.
