About
Us

InBody global pioneer in
body composition analysis.
InBody began with a belief that true health insight should not be hidden behind guesswork. In the early 1990s, our founder, Dr Kichul Cha, recognised that existing body composition tools were inaccurate and of little use to practitioners striving to make a real impact in people’s health. Driven by a passion for precision and grounded in engineering expertise, he set out to create something better, a device that would deliver reliable and actionable data people could truly trust.
In 1996, that vision became reality with the launch of the first InBody analyser in Seoul, South Korea. Over the past 30 years, we have grown from a small biotech startup into a global leader used by healthcare professionals, fitness experts, and researchers in more than 80 countries, helping them make smarter decisions and deliver better outcomes every day. What has not changed in three decades is our commitment to clarity, accuracy, and meaningful progress. At InBody, we believe that when professionals have the right insights, they can transform lives, one InBody Test at a time.
